I first bought a Seiko diver when I decided I wanted a no battery quality watch for not too much $. Basically deciding between Seikos, the diver was decent but too big and band a little cheap. I returned an bought this one. I think it looks great and does what I need - accurate time, self winding, classy traditional, not too heavy, water resistant enough for shower, general stuff (not diving), glow in dark...it's got a very nice, band as well. If you like the look, then go for it. I'm not disappointed.

Well satisfied with Watch. Seiko quality. Have read that some people have problem with adjustable clip band, I did not have any problem with adjustment. Band seems very good quality to me. Watch came with NO instructions, or any paperwork related to function or warranty. Easy to adjust date and day after I learned that can be done easily after pulling stem out part way. Seems to require a lot of movement to keep automatic function working. I cannot lay watch down for more than 5-6 hours unless I manually take watch off and move it so watch will wind (do that daily because unable to wind watch with stem). Otherwise well pleased with watch.

i love automatic watches i wear this one every day. casual yet nice enough to be warn when dressed up. the links are extremely difficult to get out yourself, there is no pin to remove, i would suggest getting it professionally done

I bought this piece from another online store after reading the reviews from Amazon. the charcoal dial is understated and subtle, the day of the week window and date window is about the right size, weekend days have a different color as opposed to black letters for weekdays. this Seiko 5 watch uses an in-house 7s26 movement, and can be seen from the clear crystal back. My piece gains for 10-15 seconds a day, so I do adjust it once every week or so. the only shortcoming with this watch is that it comes with a fold-over link, not the solid link that come with american model Seiko watches. I believe that this watch is an Asian model, which it also explain its 36/38mm case width.It is rather easy to adjust the bracelet at home, you can remove the extra links fairly easily. Search poor man's watch forum for how to remove the extra link.
