a nice automatic well worth the priceApr 08, 2010
I bought this piece from another online store after reading the reviews from Amazon. the charcoal dial is understated and subtle, the day of the week window and date window is about the right size, weekend days have a different color as opposed to black letters for weekdays. this Seiko 5 watch uses an in-house 7s26 movement, and can be seen from the clear crystal back. My piece gains for 10-15 seconds a day, so I do adjust it once every week or so. the only shortcoming with this watch is that it comes with a fold-over link, not the solid link that come with american model Seiko watches. I believe that this watch is an Asian model, which it also explain its 36/38mm case width.It is rather easy to adjust the bracelet at home, you can remove the extra links fairly easily. Search poor man's watch forum for how to remove the extra link.

I PURCHASE THIS SEIKO SELF WINDING AUTOMATIC WATCH 11/29/2009. THIS IS AN ACCURATE TIME KEEPER. CRYSTAL IS CLEAR AND HARD VERY SCRATCH RESISTANCE. HAVEN'T HAD TO RESET SINCE THE DAY I BROUGHT IT. COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED. PURCHASED ON AMAZON.COM WHO HAD THE LOWEST PRICE FOR THIS MODEL AND HAD VERY FAST SHIPPING.

This is a no-nofrills classic watch with automatic movement that I am very happy with. These are no longer available in shops in Norway, so I was very happy to find one on Amazon. It was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition.

Nice classy well made and inexpensiveFeb 08, 2009
I first bought a Seiko diver when I decided I wanted a no battery quality watch for not too much $. Basically deciding between Seikos, the diver was decent but too big and band a little cheap. I returned an bought this one. I think it looks great and does what I need - accurate time, self winding, classy traditional, not too heavy, water resistant enough for shower, general stuff (not diving), glow in dark...it's got a very nice, band as well. If you like the look, then go for it. I'm not disappointed.
