Watch out for import dutiesFeb 13, 2010

This is a beautiful watch that was shipped and delivered extremely quickly from the US to the UK. Buyers should beware that doing this attracts import duties which are quite expensive in the UK. This is not obvious on either the seller's site or Amazon. When I commented to the seller about this, they were offhand and quite unhelpful. Seems to be a classic case of reading the small print - or searching through the many avenues/windows to find the info. A simple solution would be for Amazon to have a pop-up window to highlight that shipping from one country to another may attract import duties, with a confirmation button that you wish to proceed with the purchase. I know for next time, but come on Amazon make it more obvious for purchasers.
